The "Candy Crush Saga" download has topped those made for other popular games such as "Clash of Clans" and "Angry Birds," recent news showed.

NDTV Gadgets revealed that based on the latest report by the app ranking and analytics expert App Annie, the King's leading game dominated the list of frequently downloaded games by a lot of Apple mobile users worldwide.

The report, which is called "The Most Popular iPhone and iPad Apps of All Time," made an analysis and ranking of top games based on download, top games based on revenue, top downloaded app and top apps according to revenue.

According to its list, "Candy Crush Saga," which was released in November 2012, was on top when it comes to downloads, with "Fruit Ninja," "Angry Birds," "Subway Surfers" and "Despicable Me" on the second, third, fourth and fifth spot, respectively.

The other well-loved game, "Clash of Clans," was behind it by five notches.

However, in terms of revenue, "Clash of Clans" made it to the top with "Candy Crush Saga" snatching the second place and "Puzzle and Dragons" following next.

"We calculated iOS' top-downloaded and top-grossing apps (split by games and apps excluding games) since we activated our trackers in July 2010," App Annie explained.

It was likewise learned that "Candy Crush Saga" and "Clash of Clans" were the only apps included in the top 10 of both downloaded and revenue lists.

Meanwhile, "Candy Crush Saga" has proven that it is not just the king in terms of download in the iOS App Store these days as some news reports also claimed that it is also one of the best free Android games in 2015 that anyone could play.

The International Business Times reported that even without making any purchases, one can already experience fun and excitement by downloading "Candy Crush Saga" and some other free Android games like "Angry Birds 2," "Fruit Ninja," "Clash of Clans," "Skiing Yeti Mountain," "Brickies" and "Wire Defuser."

With this development, it is expected that more iOS users will be encouraged to download "Candy Crush Saga."
