The tvN fantasy drama "Guardian" or also known as "Goblin" has been accepted well in Korea and international. Its story about relationship between human and supernatural being may be the main point that captivate the audience.

Unusual story of the drama which tells a relationship between human and supernatural being has been received with a very good response. The drama revolves around story of a general Kim-Sin from Goryeo era who must live an eternal life as a Goblin. He can end his eternal curse when he met his bride.

In order to make the story more appealing, another character comes into picture, the handsome Grim Reaper,played by Lee Dong-Wook. The Grim Reaper was upset toward the Goblin who meddle in his work. This makes the story more interesting to watch.

The drama continues to top the chart in many aspects. After ranked first in the CPI rating last week, this week “Guardian” ranked top three in the buzz on the social network service (SNS) or social media. According to Yonhap News Agency the drama is still a hot topic in the social media with the 23,986 total buzzes in the third place. While the number one spot is taken by “Running Man” with 32,468 buzzes, followed by the upcoming period KBS drama “Hwarang” that claimed 38,257 buzzes.

Moreover, its fourth original soundtrack “Beautiful” released Dec. 17 has topped six from eight major Korean music charts according to Seoul Daily News. The song “Beautiful” which was sung by Korean R&B singer Crush has topped Mnet Music, Olleh Music, Bugs, Genie, Soribada and Naver.

“Guardian” has also become the rare case of a very high ratings for a cable channel. Its ratings has achieved the highest 14.0 percent in TnMS and 12.5 percent in AGB Nielsen. In average, the ratings of “Goblin” is 10.2 percent in AGB Nielsen and 11.1 percent in TnMS.
