Kevin Love Trade Rumors: After Returning To The Cleveland Cavaliers, Does LeBron James Want To Trade Andrew Wiggins For Minnesota Timberwolves' Kevin Love? [PHOTO]

Since Andrew Wiggins arrived in Las Vegas and found out LeBron James was coming to Cleveland with him, he has heard his name brought up in possible trade scenarios as the Cavaliers pursue Minnesota All-Star Kevin Love.

So this is going to be a lot of parcing through rumors, we will start with the sources that say Wiggins will not be traded for Love.

Two people familiar with the situation told The Associated Press that the Cavaliers' position has remained unchanged and that no offer including Wiggins has been made to Minnesota. The people requested anonymity because neither team was publicly commenting on trade talks.

"Rumors are rumors. That's why they call them rumors," Cavs coach David Blatt said. "Sooner or later in one's career, you're going to have to deal with it. If he has to deal with it now, then so be it. It's summer league. He's learning everything as he goes along."

"What you've got to like about the kid is that it doesn't make a difference if it's the fourth game of summer league in seven or eight days, or if people are keying on him or the crowd has funny things to say to him," Blatt said. "He goes out there and really plays and has a nice calm about him and a real good demeanor. Andrew's going to be a high-level player. It's good to see."

The Cavaliers and Timberwolves have been engaged in discussions since before the draft for Love, who can opt out of his contract next summer. That stipulation gives Love tremendous influence on where he ends up, and he initially balked at joining a Cavaliers. James' signing changed Love's mind about going to Cleveland and the Cavaliers again started conversations with the Wolves.

General manager David Griffin, Blatt and owner Dan Gilbert have to this point refused to include Wiggins in any offer. That has been a deal-breaker for the Wolves, who want Wiggins to headline any package that the Cavs would offer.

It's not known if James would prefer the Cavs to hold onto Wiggins in any deal for Love, his U.S. Olympic teammate. But what's certain is that the Cavaliers will take James' feelings into consideration before making any move. The four-time MVP is hugely influential, and his return to the Cavaliers has restored hope in a franchise that has been down and out since he left for Miami in 2010.

But keeping him unsigned also gives the Cavaliers more flexibility to pursue free agents. They have already agreed to terms with veteran shooters Mike Miller and James Jones, and have reached out to Ray Allen as well.

The Timberwolves, meanwhile, have made it clear that without Wiggins, or an attractive deal from another team like Golden State, they are content to start the season with Love on the roster and see if they can make enough improvement next season to convince him to stay in Minnesota.

All of that said, some people still think Wiggins will get traded for Love.

According to ESPN's Chris Broussard, the Cleveland Cavaliers may have changed their mind about including No. 1 draft pick Andrew Wiggins in a potential trade package for Kevin Love. LeBron James and the Cavaliers have been interested in bringing Love to join a promising core of LeBron and Kyrie Irving, and according to rumors, Love is on board with the idea as well.

But until now, the Cavs have been reluctant to include their promising young rookie any Kevin Love trade talks, while the Minnesota Timberwolves have been adamant a deal won't happen without him.

LeBron James has reached to tell Kevin Love of his desire for them to play together with the Cavaliers, front office sources tell Yahoo.

It's looking more and more likely like Kevin Love will be in a Cleveland Cavaliers uniform for the 2014-15 season. Why? Because LeBron James holds all the power in Cleveland. He didn't have to come home. Sure it felt right, and yeah, we should give him the benefit of the doubt that he wanted to make amends with his home state after the way he betrayed them on national television in 2010.

After failing to put the right pieces around him in his first seven seasons with the Cavs, Dan Gilbert and company won't be making the same mistake this time around. Whatever LeBron wants, LeBron will get. According to Woj, LeBron wants Kevin Love, Andrew Wiggins' potential be damned.

"Would I trade Wiggins for Love? Well, I thi--[LeBron breaks through cinder block wall like Kool-Aid Man] OHHHHHHH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH"

Love represents a chance for the Cavaliers to contend immediately in the East. LeBron and Wiggins terrorizing opponents on defense, getting steals and throwing alley-oops to each other all day would be a dream come true, but Kevin Love is only 25 years old and represents a sure thing right now.

Wiggins is the patient approach, Love is the win-now approach. LeBron wants to win now. If the rumors that the Cavs are now including Wiggins in trade talks are true, it won't be long before Love is in a Cavaliers jersey.

For Minnesota, a trade involving Wiggins is about as good as it'll get. Flip Saunders will get a few players to help him win now, but the Timberwolves will get their best chance to start over with a franchise cornerstone this way. That's better than anything the Warriors, Phoenix Suns or Boston Celtics can offer, even if the Wolves choose to not pull the trigger just yet.

But again, if there's a theme here, it's LeBron will get what he wants. There's a reason he didn't mention Andrew Wiggins or Anthony Bennett in his heartfelt letter to the city of Cleveland. This has probably been the plan all along. Here's hoping this doesn't stunt the growth and potential of Wiggins.
