‘Hercules’ Actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Avoids Association With New Jersey Gov Chris Christie? Claims Friendship With Both Democrats And Republicans

"Hercules" actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson avoided being associated with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie as he told the politician to take down the online video featuring him. The former wrestler claimed that he's friends with both Democrats and Republicans.

In a report by New York Daily News, "Hercules" actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson said that he still sees New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie as a "buddy."

"I know Gov. Christie. We've met a couple of times but in no way was I associated with what he had going on. He had his team of people around him who kind of put that together. I saw it. I was like well, I don't have anything to do with it, so now you've got to pull it down," he said.

The former wrester was interviewed while he was promoting "Hercules" on Friday, said the publication.

The trailer featured New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie warning Americans about a looming budget crisis "along with dramatic music and sound effects."

According to MailOnline, the trailer video "consisted of dramatized cuts of Christie talking about a looming debt crisis in the state, over a soundtrack designed to mimic a big budget action movie."

"In the second half of the trailer, explosions are shown, one scene quickly showing Johnson walking away from the carnage. The name 'The Rock' is then shown after Chris Christies' in a series of titles similar to a movie trailer," the website added.

In an earlier interview, said NY Daily News, "Hercules" actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson said that he's "more patriotic than I am political" as he addressed a Republican National Convention.

"I have good friends who are politicians on both sides. Clinton is a good buddy of mine, Obama is a good buddy of mine. A multitude of people who are buddies," he said.
