Lee Min Ki Wishes To Keep His Military Enlistment Quiet, Will Report For Duty Before The End Of The Year

Korean actor Lee Min Ki is soon to enlist, but not as soon as some reports have suggested.

Like all able-bodied Korean males, Lee Min Ki is required to serve in the military for about two years. Recent reports have suggested the popular actor would be reporting for duty as early as August 4. However, his agency, Go_od Management, has denied that date.

On July 20, Newsen reported that according to the Haeundae actor's agency, he will enlist before the end of the year, but a date has not been confirmed.

"It's true that his enlistment is soon and that he is going this year, but it's not true that he's going on August 4th," his management explained.

The six-foot-tall actor, who has also dabbled in music with a handful of single albums and an EP under his belt, does not plan to make a big fuss over his upcoming hiatus from the entertainment world.

"Lee Min Ki wants to keep it as quiet as possible," said his agency. "We're thankful for the attention, but we please ask [that you obey his wishes]."

I the meantime, Lee Min Ki is "putting his everything into" his latest project, a new movie called Shoot My Heart. The psychiatric ward-based drama is set to wrap up three months of shooting at the end of July.
