Girls' Day 'Darling' MV Receives 3 Million Views Just 1 Week After Release

Girl's Day released their music video for their summer single "Darling" a week ago.

The video, which has been recognized for perfectly mixing sexy and sweet, has garnered a total of 3 million views, with 800,000 views on the group's official YouTube channel and 2,220,000 views on the LOEN channel.

"Darling," which was released on July 4, is on their new mini-album, titled "Girl's Day Everday #4," which made its public debut at midnight KST on July 14, according to Allkpop. "Darling" has been the group's most successful track from the album as of yet, topping eight major music charts in Korea, including Melon, Bugs, Olleh, Soribada, Genie, Naver, Daum and Monkey 3.

The track, which was produced by hit producing team Duble Sidekick, has even gained the attention of international publications, including Billboard and Popdust.

"'Darling' incorporates a modern, jazz-pop sound that blends peppy piano, shimmering strings and brassy horn blasts. The happy-go-lucky, doo-wup sound could easily soundtrack a sunshine-filled day at the beach or pool making the mid-summer release timing rather perfect," wrote Billboard.

The music magazine added, "The video stays consistent with the song with the girls donning bright dresses and swimsuits in a slew of summery scenes. The GsD gals get soapy in a car wash, sip cocktails by the pool and bake rainbow-colored treats while serving countless winks, smiles and kissy faces for the cameras."

Despite the general "cute" concept of the music video, the members of Girl's Day didn't stop to pepper in moments of sexiness throughout the clip. The girls are seen showing off their cleavage in their swimsuits while playful shaking their bodies during the hook of the song.

The K-pop group recently performed "Darling" on the Korean SBS music program, "Inkigayo."

While Girl's Day fans enjoy the ongoing success of "Darling," they'll be able to watch member Yura on the hit Korean variety show, "We Got Married."

During a recent interview with Joy News 24, the idol members explained the dynamics of her onscreen relationship with her "husband" Hong Jong Kyun.

"It's fun. When we first started, it was awkward, and we didn't talk to each other much. But we became a lot more comfortable and closer with each other [after having fun on the lake with water sports] and couple games. Now we talk to each other a lot... Hong Jong Hyun is known as an 'unapproachable guy', but I never felt that way about him at all," explained Yura.
