'Saturday Night Live' Cast 2014 Update: Star Nasim Pedrad Talks About Life After ‘SNL', As Two More Cast Members Dropped

The "Saturday Night Live" cast 2014 just got that bit smaller, with the recent announcement that Noel Wells and John Milhiser will be joining Brooks Wheelan in not returning this season.

As the cast shrinks, former star Nasim Pedrad, who just left "SNL" to star in John Mulaney's self-titled sitcom, commented on the departures.

"It's never easy," said Nasim Pedrad, as quoted in Voices. "But more than anything I'm excited to see what they do next."

The "Saturday Night Live" veteran, who took on the likes of Arianna Huffington and Kim Kardashian in her spot-on impressions, had a few words of advice for her previous co-stars from the cast of 2014.

"The good news is that show gives you unparalleled exposure that is wonderful," she said. "The length of your tenure there is not a forecast of what's to come once you leave. A lot of people have spent little time there and have gone on to have amazing careers."

Nasim Pedrad went on to credit "Saturday Night Live" with improving her performance abilities and own skills.

"What's really cool about 'SNL' is it really does prepare you for anything. Things are done so quickly there," commented Nasim. You have one night to write the show. It's live, so things can go wrong. Things can change last minute. To be able to pull that off prepares you for complicated situations. It makes you that much better."

CNN notes that other cast members who have been in a similar position to Brooks, Noel and John have gone on to have great success in television and film. Both Michaela Watkins and Casey Wilson were kicked off the comedy show, but have found followings in "Trophy Wife" and "Happy Endings" respectively.

Chris Parnell, who was fired twice from the live comedy show, has found fame in "Suburgatory" and "Glee". Despite being fired after cursing during SNL's live broadcast, Jenny Slate has also recovered and regained traction in the entertainment world, now starring in the movie "Obvious Child".
