'Minecraft' Xbox One Edition Release Date, Price, Features, Trailer, And Gameplay: PS4 And Vita Versions, 4J Studios And Mojang Say World 36 Times Larger [VIDEO]

"Minecraft" is coming for Xbox One, PS4, and PS Vita.

The world's third best selling PC game of all time, with 54 million copies sold, has just announced that its newest edition, 'Minecraft: Xbox One Edition' will be released onto the Xbox Live Market in August.

"We can see the light at the end of the tunnel! #MinecraftXbox1 #MinecraftPS4 #MinecraftPSVita," 4J Studios, the game's developer of recently tweeted.

When "Minecraft" was launched for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the open world nature of the game was one of the best elements. Now, with the upcoming release date for the next-generation consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4, players will see the largest open world ever created.

4J Studios made some screenshots of the game, comparing "Minecraft" from Xbox One version with its predecessor Xbox 360. They did the same with the PlayStation 4 version and the PlayStation 3 version.

Besides the improved graphics, Minecraft on the next-generation consoles will have bigger worlds. However, they will be only 36 times bigger than earlier PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, and not infinite as like PC version of "Minecraft."

4J Studios already announced that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players will be able to save their current world from their old consoles and import it to the next-generation consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Paddy Burns, the 4J Studio's CTO, confirmed that they want to take advantage of each platform. The developers will most likely add support to the new DualShock touch pad of PlayStation 4 or for PlayStation Vita's touchscreen.

Burns also confirmed that Minecraft will come with the 1.3.2 version on the next-generation consoles and a few features that will be brought from the later PC versions. He also added that 4J Studios will add new features for all the Minecraft platforms, after they will release the game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

The new version is set with a $19.99 price tag, but will be cheaper for anyone who owns the previous edition. Anyone who owns a 'Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition' from Xbox Live Marketplace, or has played online with the disc or digital version, will be able to upgrade to the new game for a reduced price of $4.99.

Similarly, the game will also cost $4.99 for those who have the PS3 Edition.

For those who will be upgrading from the 'Xbox 360 Edition' to the 'Xbox One Edition', the players will not have to start from the very beginning of the game.

Upgrading from the Xbox 360 version allows the player to have their saved game imported to the new 'Xbox One Edition', including the features and the Minecraft "world" that the player has created.

"That's right: You don't have to start from scratch. You can just keep going, right where you left off! That goes for most (but not all) of your downloadable skins and texture packs, though not all of them will make the jump." Roger Carpenter, Microsoft's lead producer on the Xbox conversion of Minecraft, said.

"#minecraftxbox1 will be 8 player at release but we will continue working to allow more players in a future update!" Carpenter, tweeted.
