K-Drama OST Roundup: EXO Chen Sings For ‘It’s Okay, That’s Love’

K-Drama original soundtrack releases are back in full swing, following a summer that has been dominated by idol group releases. EXO member Chen, Kim Jaejoong, and Seo In Guk are among the high caliber artists that have participated in K-Drama soundtracks.

Chen delivers the track “Best Luck” for part one of the “It’s Okay, That’s Love” soundtrack.  "Best Luck" topped real time charts Olleh, Genie, Bugs, and Soribada upon its release.

"Best Luck" is a soulful R&B track which captures the emotional range of "It's Okay, That's Love."

“It’s Okay, That’s Love” stars actors Jo In Sung, Gong Hyo Jin, Running Man’s Lee Kwang Soo, and EXO’s D.O.

“It’s Okay, That’s Love” provides an interesting look at mental illness through Jang Jae Yeol (Jo In Sung), a popular radio DJ and novelist who has obsessive compulsive disorder. Ji Hae Soo (Gong Hyo Jin) is a psychiatric medicine fellow at a hospital, who becomes involved with Jang Jae Yeol in what begins as a patient-doctor relationship.

Included in the mix of patients is Park Soo Kwang (Lee Kwang Soo), who has Tourette syndrome. Han Kwang Woo (D.O) is a student who aspires to be a famous novelist like Jang Jae Yeol.

JYJ’s Jaejoong contributes “Coincidence” to part five of the “Triangle” soundtrack. “Triangle” was extended for two episodes, which placed the drama past “Doctor Stranger.” The soundtrack contributions of Jaejoong are welcome for fans of JYJ, as the trio prepares for their highly anticipated comeback.

Popular tvN drama “High School King of Manners” has received an additional episode extension. Solo vocalist Seo In Guk, who stars in the drama, provides his captivating vocals to part four of the original soundtrack with “Finding Myself.”

One of the biggest hits of the summer has been the Korean adaptation of the Taiwanese drama “Fated to Love You.” Megan Lee sings “Ready to Love” for part three of the “Fated to Love You” soundtrack.

The love line between Choi Choon Hee (A Pink’s Eunji) and Jang Joon Hyun (Ji Hyun Woo) started to heat up on recent episodes of “Trot Lovers.” GB9 appear on part four of the soundtrack with “Remember Me.”

K-Drama original soundtracks have the potential to return to the top of charts as the number of K-Pop idols in dramas continues to increase.
