Obama Buys $4.25 Desert House In Rancho Mirage: House Comes With Waterfall, Spa Rooms And Putting Green, White House Denies Rumors About Purchase [PHOTO]

Obama still has a few years go to in his presidency, but he is already thinking about his retirement! President Obama has reportedly purchased a $4.25 desert home in a gated community called Rancho Mirage in California. Though this fancy home is in the middle of the desert, it has a waterfall, a lagoon and a putting green. Quite an oasis!

According to Los Angeles Times estate reporter Lauren Beale, Obama purchased this beautiful home in Rancho Mirage's Thunderbird Heights, where Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby once dwelled.

Obama, the good negotiator that he is, got a good deal for this mansion! This house has been previously listed for as much as $12.5 million, but the POTUS managed to snatch it away at measly $4.25 million. That’s one-third of the original price!

The White House has been denying the rumors though. But many real estate agents on the ground are saying that the Obamas bought the property.

Let’s take a look inside the house. The desert home, a total of 6,100 square feet, has 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and a "master retreat with gym, tanning and spa rooms" according to Yahoo News. It also comes with a side house “casita” which has 3 bedrooms with a bathroom attached to each of them. Perfect for their post-retirement visitors!

The ground surrounding the house is measured to be 3 acres and it includes a pool and two spas.

The best thing about this property is that it sits on top of a bighorn sheep preserve, which not only makes the scenic lookout spectacular, but also provides extra security and private.
