2NE1's 'Crush' Suddenly Jumps 35 Spots On Gaon Music Chart

Despite being released in February, 2NE1's latest album "Crush" is seeing a sudden resurgence on the charts this week.

For the week of July 6 to July 12, 2NE1's album jumped 35 spots to number 44 on the Gaon music chart, shocking many fans and observers.

According to YGLadies, Gaon has also released their "2014 Mid Year Charts." The 2014 Digital Chart has 2NE1's "Come Back Home" ranking solidly at number six, with four other songs ranking within the top 100, including "Crush," "Gotta Be You," "MTBD" by CL, and "If I Were You."

"As expected from the Queens of K-pop," commented bbwin21. "Just slaying. Waiting for many awards at the end of the year."

But this is not the only surprising music chart leap for 2NE1 fans this week.

In a shocking feat by fans, Park Bom's 2011 single "Don't Cry" has managed to re-enter music charts as the 2NE1 singer continues to receive backlash for the recent controversies.

Nevertheless, Park Bom is receiving a lot of support from fans during this trying time, and it is evidenced when her single from three years ago suddenly rebounded in the music charts.

According to real-time charts being posted on Twitter, "Don't Cry" charted at number 45 on the iChart Realtime chart, and shot up to number 9 on the Cyworld realtime charts.

"This is 2NE1 fans sending her a message," commented TheFishHook on Kayoforum. "The fans that did this are amazing."

Recently, 2NE1 has finished the Japan leg of their "All of Nothing" world tour, and will next perform in Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand.

In other news, CL of 2NE1 has also recently started a trending phenomenon on Twitter.

On July 15, G-Dragon tweeted a YouTube video of a "Dirty Vibe" remix by DJ Snake. While the video itself does not credit CL or G-Dragon, who contributed to the original track, the Big Bang leader made sure to mention the YG acts in his tweet.

Within four hours, the tweet received 6,000 retweets and nearly 8,000 favorites. In addition, the hashtag "CL of 2NE1" began trending worldwide, right above the hashtag "DJ Snake Remix."
