2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions: Ray Allen To Cleveland Cavaliers? NBA's Greatest Shooter Joins The King For One Last Title Chase! Will They Succeed?

The 2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions still reverberates with the LeBron James transfer. The latest of the King’s men who will allegedly follow into the new kingdom: Ray Allen.

The main source for the news is this tweet:

Ray Allen left the Boston Celtics “Big Three” to join the Miami Heat and he got aggressively bashed for it. It was also the subject of a highly publicized feud with Kevin Garnett, who remains bitter to this day, characterized by his refusal to shake his hand during their first meeting.

Allen has moved on and Kevin Garnett himself is out of Boston after he was traded to Brooklyn, but he never got the ire of the Celtics fans.
ESPN reports that there really was an active effort to bring Allen to Cleveland:

“Former Heat forward Mike Miller, who like James joined the Cavs on a two-year deal, said last week he was making a recruiting effort to lure Allen to the Cavaliers, pointing to the veteran as the kind of player that would help Cleveland in key spots in the playoffs.
Allen has talked with multiple teams to investigate his options, sources have told ESPN.com's Brian Windhorst.”

Allen celebrated his 39th birthday this week. He still managed to play in 73 of the Heat’s regular season games in the 2013-14 season with averages of roughly 10 points per game in his two seasons in Miami. Still his main role is to be a constant shot-making threat, especially in the playoffs. He did exactly what he was paid for when he took the crucial shot in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have exactly the same intention. However, Allen still has other options and his move to Cleveland is not really final as yet.
