'Beetlejuice 2' Release Date Set With Original Cast Members Michael Keaton And Winona Ryder Reportedly Ready To Reprise Their Roles?

"Beetlejuice 2" movie release date is reportedly in the works! Original director Tim Burton is said to be in talks with screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith for the planned project.

While Michael Keaton's 1988 horror comedy film was rumored for a remake/sequel during the 1990s, the project didn't come to life. Smith, however, is reportedly readying a new script for the "Beetlejuice 2."

Winona Ryder, Keaton's costar in the hit horror comedy film previously teased that she is ready to come back and play the adult version of her character, Lydia Deetz. This is if the planned movie goes into production.

Keaton on the other hand told MTV that he's in constant communication with Burton discussing a "Beetlejuice 2" movie release date. He did reveal that they are both excited and ready for the project.

"I've e-mailed Tim a couple of times, talked to the writer a couple of times, but all really, really preliminary stuff until relatively recently. I always said that's the one thing I'd like to do again, if I ever did anything again. But it kind of required Tim to be involved some way or another.

"Now it looks like he is involved. And without giving too much away we've talked to each other, and e-mailed each other, and if he's in, it's going to be hard not to be in."

While the planned film is still in its early stages and Tim Burton is still up for other movie projects, fans are eager to see the horrid looking yet extremely adorable Beetlejuice back on the screen.
