Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled for a June 2017 release date, the Air Herald reports.

GTA 6, which is expected to take place in Vice City, may not be able to compete against other titles because of "the long gap between releases" of games in the series, analytical firm Zacks Equity Research told Examiner.

Although it is rumored GTA 6 will be named "Return to Vice City," some say it will take place in Liberty City and will serve as the virtual New York City.

Other gaming sites have argued that the rumors may be false.

But GTA 6 isn't all gamers are talking about.

Rockstar games may be preparing Grand Theft Auto 5 Online for the new Heists launch since the developer is planning to take down the game's server, the International Business Times reports.

With this development, gamers are also left wondering about the possibility of new money-making opportunities in the game as well as cheats.

"We will be performing Rockstar Cloud Service maintenance during four windows from 6/7/14 to 6/11/14," Rockstar Games announced on its site.

"Grand Theft Auto Online will be temporarily unavailable during some of this period, and Social Club website login and Crew content display may not be available."
