K-Pop Crossover: 2NE1's Minzy Supports Christian Singer Moriah Peters On Instagram

2NE1 is currently touring Asia supporting their full-length album "Crush," and now Minzy is supporting another singer on Instagram.

As many 2NE1 fans know, Minzy is Christian and frequently shows her faith through music. She is also reported to be a member of a Christian group for entertainment workers alongside Tiffany, Sooyoung, YoonA and Hyoyeon of Girls' Generation.

On July 22, Minzy once again showed support for fellow singers who are religious by giving a shout-out to American Christian singer Moriah Peters, who released her second Christian album entitled "Brave" on July 15.

Previously Moriah Peters had auditioned for "American Idol," but was deemed too innocent with her image after admitting that she had never kissed a boy.

With over 800,000 followers on Instagram, this is a great source of support for Moriah peters.

"I really like your taste in music Minzy," commented Hayami on Instagram. "Thanks for sharing this song."

Meanwhile, despite being released in February, 2NE1's latest album "Crush" is also seeing a sudden resurgence on the charts this week.

For the week of July 6 to July 12, 2NE1's album jumped 35 spots to number 44 on the Gaon music chart, shocking many fans and observers.

According to YGLadies, Gaon has also released their "2014 Mid Year Charts." The 2014 Digital Chart has 2NE1's "Come Back Home" ranking solidly at number six, with four other songs ranking within the top 100, including "Crush," "Gotta Be You," "MTBD" by CL, and "If I Were You."

Unfortunately, it hasn't all been good news for members of 2NE1, as Park Bom has recently been confirmed to be taking an "indefinite hiatus" from "Roommate" due to her recent controversies.
