6 More K-Pop Idols Who Could Make It In Hollywood

Last week, some K-Pop idols were included in a list of Korean celebs who have what it takes to break into Hollywood. However, many Kpopstarz readers shouted out other favorites, so here is an additional few K-Pop idols that might also be able to break the barrier.

TOP may not be the best at English, but he has so much acting talent and sex appeal that he could easily be the next Lee Byung Hyun. Between Iris and Commitment, TOP has proved his worth and talent as an action star. He's also a great rapper, and some fans think he's quite the dancer.

Jay Park is probably the most obvious one who wasn't included in the previous list. He grew up in Seattle, and practiced his b-boying and rap skills there. Jay Park's already made a name for himself as a musician, an actor, and a comedian on the Korean SNL, so he's pretty skilled. English wouldn't be a problem, so if Hollywood would have him, Jay Park's a surefire thing.

f(x)'s Krystal is one of Korea's up and coming acting-idols thanks to her role in The Heirs. Between that, her singing prowess, and English language skills, Krystal really would have no problem. Krystal and her big sister Jessica from Girls' Generation already have a reality television show to their name, so maybe the two could try their hands as the next popular reality-show family a la the Kardashians. Can we get The Jungs airing on MTV, maybe?

Lee Joon of MBLAQ didn't make the list despite appearing in Ninja Assassin because he hadn't debuted at the time that he acted in the Hollywood film. But he definitely needs to be mentioned- Joon's a prolific actor and all around entertainer, and already has an "in" in Hollywood, Rain himself. Even though Ninja Assassin wasn't well received by American audiences, Joon's proved his acting skills time and time again. His English is a bit lacking, but he could remedy that with some hard work.

CL is another strong candidate. Nobody can doubt the 2NE1 leader's prowess on stage as a performer, and her style of music would definitely appeal to some listeners. She's already done a song with Skrillex, so there's that to her benefit.

A Pink's Eunji may seem like an unlikely candidate, but she's gained a lot of love for her roles in several dramas, most noticeably Answer Me 1997 and Trot Lovers. Her good natured attitude and witty style is a fan favorite that's so endearing that she could by Hollywood's next darling (English language skills aside.) She also has a great voice, making her a double threat. It's impossible not to include her in this list.

Remember, this is all fantasy, of people who maybe have some potential. There's still a long way for Asian American actors to go in the US, particularly Korean ones- On 2 Broke Girls, one of the most popular shows with a Korean a character, the character who is supposed to be Korean is actually played by a Chinese actor. It'd be nice to see some idols in Hollywood, but Hollywood has to accept more Asian-American actors first before anything else.
