INFINITE Take A Traditional Route For Latest Music Promotions Amidst Popular Trends

The K-pop industry has become more provocative and become a type of fashion to chase one after another, but boy group INFINITE is maintaining the original intention of music and getting people's attention.

Most popular boy groups pick songs with strong hooks or hip hop beats, but trends are changing because of abundance. The exposure of shocking transformation and teaser photos and music videos have also declined in effectiveness. As a result, most of the groups pick their concepts and music by the most popular trend "at the time" to secure their success, but INFINITE is concentrating more on performances and their tracks in a traditional manner.

Recently, INFINITE released a repackaged album "Be Back" with a total of 15 tracks. Prior to this album, their previous full album, "Season 2" had 13 tracks. Typically, artists include their songs from a mini album or single into their full albums, but the 13 tracks of "Season 2" were all new.

INFINITE's most important aspect of their job are their tracks. Some artists choose to raise awareness of their tracks with prizes and events, but INFINITE spends more time on making the album more fully complete.

A staff of INFINITE's agency said INFINITE records all the demo music they get and then decide whether to include it in their album rather than other artists who usually records songs that their agency choose for them.

Unlike other groups that decide to perform in big stadiums to attract to most number of fans, INFINITE performs in small theatres at times.

Despite the summer trending big and fun stages, INFINITE has been having their recent concerts in the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall. All the tickets were sold out.

Five of the small concerts would be equivalent up to having one concert in a big stadium, however the group decided this route to be closer to their fans. They promised to do this at least once every two years for their fans.

INFINITE's traditional manners are shown through in their most recent album "Be Back." The title song of this album is a ballad rather than a summer dance song. They chose an orchestral sound, which stands out among many of the songs in the charts.

INFINITE's agency said the group focused on being different with their new title song. They said although there are songs that mix ballad with dance and have a slow tempo beat, there aren't many songs that switch over to dance after 1:20 of ballad.

They added, "Most songs these days are becoming more electronic, so we tried to combine classical instruments such as violin and cello. With that, we were able to expand the music more and create a different color to it."

The CEO of their agency said, "We knew this song didn't match the season, but we tried hard to make it through. We also preserved what INFINITE became famous for, which is their perfectly lined up choreography. The listeners will be able to find INFINITE's change before they even know about it."
