Their summer special album, Loving U, ranked first on billboard charts the week of its release; since then, every one of their songs have been a hit. They've already won first on a music show last April with their song, "Alone."
Not only have their songs been a hit, but they've also been recognized for an upgrade in the quality of their group appeal. Their debut image, which was just two years ago, seemed to simply replicate the top trends that already existed.
Nevertheless, "Push, Push," "Shady Girl" and "How Dare You" were all a hit. Following, was "So Cool" and "My Boy" (SISTAR19) which also received lots of attention, raising them to the level of top competitive girl groups. Each of the members went through at least two years of training, during which electronic sound and autotune were rising in the music industry. Regardless of the trend, SISTAR focused on the quality of their vocals, setting them apart from the rest of the crowd.
The fact that they have a member with power vocals is one of the biggest factors to their popularity. Husky yet clean vocal Hyorin received lots of recognition and praise in her time on the show, "Immortal Song 2." Bora gained the title, "Athletic Idol" and has maintained her healthy image. The youngest, Dasom, who was behind before, has recently also become famous.
When meeting them in person, these girls are not shy or haughty, but bright and down to earth. They're still sexy, somehow. It's nice that they don't put on a front. On stage they can be seen simply enjoying the art of performing. The fans love to trickle over wanting them to be their little sisters or their friends. The number of older male fans have also gone up. Being all three, "Healthy, sexy and talented," SISTAR keeps fans expecting only greater performances.
