iPod Touch 6G Release Date Set For Fall 2014; New iOS Media Player Arriving With iPad Air 2 And iPad Mini 3 At The Upcoming Apple Event; Next-Gen Device Getting iOS 8 And Touch ID?

iPod Touch 6G release date rumors continue to stay abuzz as fans prepare for the upcoming Apple event later this year.

Recent reports about the iPod Touch 6G release date suggested that the new generation of the iOS media player will be unveiled alongside new Apple slates, the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.

Some fans may be expecting that the iPod Touch 6G release will happen together with the iPhone 6 launch this September. However, the post on Phones Review website noted that it is more likely for the iPod Touch 6th generation to be unveiled on October, together with the upcoming iOS slates, the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.

The post explains,"Apple like to keep the spotlight on their new iPhone models in September, and of course the iOS 8 public release will feature as well."

Aside from the iPod Touch 6G release date, fans are also curious to know about the specs and features of the upcoming iGadget. If the device will arrive together with the next-gen Apple tablets, it is safe to assume that it will also feature the new mobile operating system, the iOS 8.

The iOS 8 is also scheduled for a fall 2014 launch, perhaps, before the official launch of the iPhone 6. It is reported that the one of the iOS 8 features that might be available for the Apple device, as well as for the other forthcoming iGadgets like the iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2, is the Touch ID.

Accordingly, Touch ID is Apple's fingerprint recognition tool for security and convenience options.

Do you think the iPod Touch 6G release date will happen alongside iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 launch?

Stay tuned for more updates and official statements from Apple regarding the upcoming iDevices.
