Psy Filming Music Video For Comeback Single 'Daddy' After 'Hangover' Success

After experiencing a "Hangover," Psy is gearing up for his official comeback with "Daddy."

"Psy will begin filming the music video of 'Daddy' this week," said YG-Life on July 28. "He will travel to different places in Korea to film the video."

"Since the filming will take place in different locations, the process will take longer than that of other videos. As 'Daddy' is a fast-tempo, upbeat song that goes well with summer, the music video will also carry that theme."

Reportedly, the director of "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman," Cho Soo Hyun, will once again collaborate with the 37-year-old rapper for "Daddy."

"'Daddy' will bear Psy's unique humor and wit," continued the YG Entertainment blog. "I expect that the music video of 'Daddy' will touch viewers, because the new song talks about the relationship between a father and son."

In June, a music video for "Hangover" was released featuring American rapper Snoop Dogg. Without any promotional activities, the video has since garnered over 100 million views on YouTube.

"A lot of people don't know this, but I originally first started music with hip hop," said Psy to SBS's "One Night of TV Entertainment." "After debuting, the genre completely changed because of my steadfast dancing, so I had no real chance to do hip hop even if I wanted to. Then, while promoting in America, I got to meet Snoop Dogg. To all people who do music, Snoop Dogg is a huge deal and an idol."

"Thanks for all the interest and like ['Hangover'] said, I am preparing a song for the summer. When it becomes really hot, I will return with an event hotter song."

According to Koreaboo, "Daddy" is slated to be released in August, and will include promotional activities both in South Korea and abroad.
