2NE1 released the music video of latest single “I Love You” on July 7 through YG Entertainment’s official blog. The members in the video flaunted their ‘sexiness,’ the main concept of the new song. In particular, each member various hairstyles stood out the most gaining a lot of interest from fans.
CL who is the first member to make an appearance in the video is sporting a retro hair. CL caught the attention of viewers with her blond hair with a retro feel. She boasts a stunning visual with matching accessories such as gold belt, ring, jewelry, and sunglass.
CL stated during an interview at YG Entertainment on July 6, “The genre trot is our own tradition. In that sense we wanted to promote this genre all around the world as much as we can. We paid a lot of attention this time on our accessories and hairstyles.”
Youngest Minzy sported a short bob hair style reminiscent of Cleopatra. Minzy’s hairstyle was a straight layered black hair with long bangs only in the middle as an ‘arrow’ shape. Although it’s an unconventional style difficult to pull off yet Minzy shows off her strong personality and charisma. Also Minzy flaunts an alluring charm with her tidy bob hair style.
The biggest transformation of the members without a doubt is Dara. Her half shaved hairstyle was revealed before through her teaser released. She clearly shows in the music video that a half-shaved hair can be beautiful. She flaunts her half shaved hair in a wavy hairstyle. The long pink hairstyle in the middle of the video shows off her feminine charm. It’s a rediscovery of ‘half-shaved’ hairstyle.
Bom appealed her femininity with bang hair with waves. She exudes the retro feel in the music video when she is sitting alone in the train with her hair wrapped in a scarf.
2NE1’s dramatic change in their new song has captivated their fans eyes and ears. 2NE1 made a bold statement during an interview, “We will quit when our music isn’t new anymore.”
2NE1 will perform the new song on SBS’ “Inkigayo” on July 8 and embark on their global tour “New Evolution” kicking off the concert at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium on July 28-29 traveling to 10 cities in 7 countries throughout Asia, North America and Europe.
