iPad Air 2 Release Date Rumors: Upcoming Apple Slate Rumored For A Fall Release After Programmer Codes Point Fingers For Tablet Upgrade To Happen With iOS 8

iPad Air 2 Release Date: Release of the new generation of Apple tablets are expected to be out by the third quarter of the year, earlier than the expected and usual fall event of Apple, according to rumors.

"We think the upgraded iPad Air will be launched earlier in 2014 than the iPad Air was in 2013," Ming-chi Kuo of MacRumors stated.

"We previously thought Apple would not release a new version of the iPad Mini this year, but we now think Apple will launch an upgraded version with same form factor," they added.

At the same time, with the new OS upgrade for Apple has been announced, the iOS 7.1.1 will feature a lot of improvements for Apple gadgets starting from iPhone 4 up to the latest and newest phone, the iPhone 5S.

Keyboard improvements are expected on the 7.1.1 update as well as a new call screen making it simpler than before.

But that didn't get the attention of programmers. Revisions for newer iPads have been noticed in the code given in the 7.1 release. See picture below:

As seen in the picture the new iOS 7.1 has support for an iPad 4,3 and an iPad 4,6, neither of the two exist as of today. Does this mean and is it possible that Apple is getting ready for a near release of new generation tablets?

The report (picture shown above), given by 9to5Mac.com notes that the iPad 4,1 and iPad 4,2 are the current iPad Air models and the iPad 4,4 and iPad 4,5 are the iPad mini with Retina display. Making the encircled ones the possible new addition to each kind of tablet for Apple.

For the iPad Mini's new generation features, tech site Tech Radar has been talking about the possibilities and features that Apple could put on the next generation of tablets. The site said that it would be better if the mini 3 with Retina display would be a lot nicer if it has the new generation of technology, the Touch ID feature that is currently seen in the iPhone 5s.

A much better camera and possibly thinner and lighter like the iPad Air is expected if Apple upgrades their devices this year.

And as an addition, a possible waterproof feature is reportedly expected on the new tablets.

Do you think that this bold move to face competition is the right move for Apple?
