For 2NE1's new concept for the comeback album, Dara had to shave one side of her head. Regarding her hairstyle that shocked the fans, Dara revealed, "I was very sad about having to shave my head so I teared up." And, "We were practicing and thinking about how we should change our image. I went for the idea without thinking but I was crying during the actual process. I thought to myself, 'this must be what it feels like when Korean men shave their heads to go to the military.'"

Dara was the center of attention in the teasers that have been released prior to the 2NE1's comeback stage for her fresh new hairstyle.

People in the online community responded with comments like, "I feel bad for Dara", "I totally understand how Dara must have felt", and "She shouldn't have shaved her head."

Meanwhile, 2NE1 appeared on the SBS "Inkigayo" on July 8 to perform their official comeback stage with "I Love You."
