'SM World Tour 4' Poster And Top-Notch Lineup Revealed For Seoul Concert

K-pop fans are going to get the full Korean pop music experience this summer.

Korean entertainment company SM Entertainment revealed a poster for their upcoming "SMTOWN World Tour 4" for their Seoul concert.

The tour marks their fourth season of "SMTOWN World Tour. The management company revealed their poster for the Seoul concert, which will be held on August 15 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, on their official Twitter page.

The poster included images for the top K-pop artists signed with SM Entertainment, including BoA, Kangta, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, SM rookie and new group Red Velvet.

Fans will be able to see one of the first performances of the new SM Entertainment group Red Velvet, which has reportedly already begun dominating major music charts in Korea.

Despite their very recent debut with their track "Happiness," Red Velvet became involved in a controversy surrounding the images used in their music video for their single.

Soon after the release of the music video for "Happiness," Japanese media reported that there were images referencing the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as well as the tragedy of 9/11 attacks, according to the publication Allkpop. The images have since been removed from the video.

"After questioning the director, we found that he simply used a collage source for the images, and there was no intention behind it. As SM wasn't able to catch it before, we will remove the material that caused the misunderstanding as soon as possible. We will make sure not to let this kind of thing happen in the future," stated the entertainment company in response to the reports.

The four-member girl group was also involved in drama regarding their name. Indie band Red Velvet, a two-member group that has been active since 2013, addressed the fact that the new SM group is debuting with the same name.

The conflict was settled recently with both groups agreeing to stick with the same name.

"[After meeting personally with a head at SM], we've concluded that we'll promote with the same name. From now onward, neither will interfere with the use of the name Red Velvet," stated Ha Hwi Soo of the indie band Red Velvet, according to Star News.
