Girl Group A-PINK To Make Official Japan Debut This Fall

Girl group A-PINK is expected to dominate the music charts across Asia in the near future.

The six-member K-pop group, which consists of Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jung Eun-ji, Son Na-eun, Kim Nam-joo and Oh Ha-young, recently held their first solo showcase in Japan in lieu of their official debut in the country.

"We have decided to make our official Japanese debut on October 22. On that day, we will release our [Japanese] debut single 'NoNoNo' through Universal Music," stated the members of A-Pink during the debut showcase held in Shinagawa Stellar Ball in Tokyo, according to the publication Allkpop.

Idol member Namjoo added, "We want to make A-Pink known through our new song, which many people like because it is easy to sing along to. Please make sure to sing along once it gets released."

"NoNoNo" will be released through Universal Music. The track was a huge hit in Korea, contributing to the idol group's rise to mainstream fame in the K-pop industry.

Although A-Pink has yet to officially make their debut in Japan, 2,000 local fans gathered to attend the girls' showcase and see the group perform their Korean hits, including "NoNoNO," "My My" and "Mr. Chu."

A-Pink, which debuted back in 2011, already created their fan club in Japan called "PANDA JAPAN," which has been receiving quite a bit of attention since being opened to the public.

In addition to the fans that attended, 400 reporters from approximately 140 different local media outlets made sure to report on the recent showcase, according to the publication Yahoo Entertainment Singapore.

"The local response to A-Pink's Japanese debut is considerably encouraging. We are being flooded with love calls from local representatives. Please look forward to see if A-Pink can make a name for themselves with their unique concept," stated a rep for the group's management agency, A Cube Entertainment.
