2NE1's Park Bom Set For First South Korean Promotion Since Drug Scandal At AIA Real Life NOW Festival 2014

While 2NE1 has been focusing on promotions overseas, this month will see Park Bom's first major appearance in South Korea since the drug scandal made headlines.

The 2014 AIA Real Life NOW Festival will see the entire YG Family on stage at Seoul's Jamsil Sports Complex, and promotions and ticket sales for the event have been all the rage online.

"Among the many fans who've purchased an 'AIA Real Life NOW Festival 2014' ticket through Interpark, Yes24, GMarket and LiveNation Korea, 1,000 fans will be chosen and invited to YG Family's 'Sound Check Party," said the YG-Family Facebook on August 5.

The line-up for the Festival includes Psy, Big Bang, 2NE1, Winner, Team B, Lee Hi and Akdong Musicians. International superstar Lady Gaga will join YG Family on stage day two of the event as well.

For most 2NE1 fans, this is the first time Park Bom will be seen promoting in South Korea after taking an indefinite hiatus from the reality series "Roommate" last month.

"It seems the upcoming July 27th broadcast will be Park Bom's final [appearance on 'Roommate']," said producer Baek Jung Ryul to TV Report. "She hasn't been attending filming so there is no footage of her. Realistically speaking, it is as if she's left [the show]. We haven't made any plans for Park Bom's possible following appearances. Nothing has been discussed. We also edited out a lot of the footage of Park Bom due to the controversy."

Nevertheless, Park Bom has been slowly resurfacing in media interviews, first in Japan on the July 28 broadcast of "Music Japan," then in Myanmar for 2NE1's first concert in the region.

The AIA Real Life NOW Festival will take on August 15 and August 16.
