Christina Aguilera recently posed naked while pregnant in a V Magazine photo spread, joining other pregnant celebrities that have showed off their baby bumps on magazine covers, ever since Demi Moore started the trend in 1991 on the cover of Vanity Fair. Christina Aguilera, the 33-year-old former coach on "The Voice," is pregnant with her second child with fiance Matt Rutledge (her first child, Max, is from her ex-husband, Jordan Bratman).

According to Liberty Voice, a pregnant Christina Aguilera reportedly contacted V Magazine's photographer Brian Bowen Smith because she "wanted to capture some blissful moments before she gives birth."  

The singer also told the magazine, "I'm proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store."

The nude photos have drawn a lot of attention, but Christina is not the first pregnant celebrity to get photographed for a magazine cover showing off a large baby bump. It all started with Demi Moore in 1991, when she posed naked while pregnant for Vanity Fair. She was followed by Cindy Crawford in 1999 on W Magazine, Monica Belluci in 2004 on Vanity Fair, and Eva Herzigova in 2007. Miranda Kerr posed pregnant and naked in 2010 for W Magazine, as did Mariah Carey for Life & Style when she was pregnant with twins.

In 2005, Heidi Klum wore sheer white lingerie on the cover of Vitals Woman, and Britney Spears posed nude in 2006 for Harper's Bazaar.

Jessica Simpson followed suit in 2012 and 2013 for Elle magazine.

Though she didn't look pregnant, Zoe Saldana posed naked for Women's Health UK right before she announced she was with child.

Olivia Wilde didn't strip completely, but she was photographed by Glamour this month with an exposed breast, breastfeeding her newborn son Otis.

"Being shot with Otis is so perfect because any portrait of me right now isn't complete without my identity as a mother being a part of that," Wilde explained in the September issue. "Breast-feeding is the most natural thing. I don't know, now it feels like Otis should always be on my breast."
