Taylor Swift New Album 2014 Release Date: Taylor Swift's short video of a woman's finger pushing the elevator button for the 18^th floor posted in Instagram on August 4 served as clue for fans as to when exactly Taylor Swift's 2014 album release date be. This single is said to be a follow-up of her Red album released last year.

A lot of possibilities can be drawn from the number 18. Reports are speculating as to whether this signifies that this album will be released in 18 days, the 18 tracks, the 18^th of August...the list can go on. Music Times, for one, predicts that the album will be released on November 18, Tuesday as Swift's previous albums are usually released on these months.

Reports from Headline Planet, on the other hand, assumes that the release of this single will be on August 18 and will have its first appearance on television on August 24 in the MTV Video Music Awards and at the September iHearts Music Festival the following month. 

It has to be remembered that Swift had agreed to perform on these big events, months before, and since then sources have been confident that this also coincides Swift's release of her new single. 

Meanwhile, a video clip of an upcoming movie "The Giver" that shows a scene of Swift playing the piano also caught online attention.. The video clip shows a flashback of Rosemary (Swift's character) playing the piano while the Giver (Jeff Bridges)and Jonas (Brendan Thwaites) watched her. Jonas, is expected to become the next "Receiver of Memories", the only person who remembers how society looks like before the new, changed world emerges.

"The Giver" is a young-adult novel by Lois Lowry released in 1993. The movie has been Jeff Bridges plan since 1993 when Swift was still a Kindergarten Kid. And now 24, Swift will play Rosemary, a small but pivotal character. "The Giver" will be released this month.
