Landon Donovan, famous USA soccer player and well-known World Cup 2014 snub, has returned to our televisions in yet another hilarious advertisement!

L.A. Galaxy midfielder Landon Donovan has a great sense of humor! Having already appeared in funny commercials for LA Galaxy and EA Sports during the World Cup, the star player has now teamed up with athletic shoe company Foot Locker for a video advertisement titled “Short Memory Pt. 2.”

The funny video, featuring NBA’s James Harden, is the second in the Foot Locker commercial series. Part 1, released last week, featured Charles Barkley and Scottie Pippen. In it, they taught Harden the “fundamentals” of memory loss.

In “Short Memory Pt. 2,” Donovan “forgets” that he was cut from the USA World Cup football team.

As Yahoo Sports summarizes, “after Donovan claims that Brazil was ‘sick,’ Harden explains that he has ‘one of those short memories — like all the greats.’ ‘They can't cut me, I'm the captain!’ Donovan declares, convincingly, as the spot abruptly ends and we are left to assume that in Donovan's mind, Clint Dempsey does not exist. Maybe next he'll forget that he's retiring.”

While Landon Donavon eventually developed a sense of humor about his cutting from the USA World Cup team, he was initially pretty better about the snub. After the cut, he rooted against his team in their first game without him.

According to the LA Times, Donavan was quoted as saying, "I'll be completely honest, watching them play Azerbaijan, inside, part of me was thinking, I hope the game doesn't go very well today. In my heart of hearts, I thought, if we get a 1-0 win and the team doesn't perform well, that would feel good."

Then the USA player continued, "Then the next day I woke up and said to myself, that's a really crappy way to feel. That's a bad way to live your life, it doesn't help me, it doesn't help the team, it doesn't help the energy that the team needs."

Well, since the World Cup, Landon Donavan has certainly changed his tone - from the look of these commercials, he seems to find the whole snub funny!

The Foot Locker ads, which are likely to continue in more parts, are attempting to show that all of the greatest athletes have short memories.
