Duo Tasty Releases Digital Single 'Addiction' Before Official China Debut

Chinese duo group TASTY released their digital single "Addiction" today.

The brothers will be making their official debut in China on August 22 and chose to release their track to give a snippet of their new sound to Korean fans.

"Instead of doing a normal comeback in Korea through promotions, they will hold a special stage with their new song for one week before heading to China to debut and begin official promotions," a representative from the boys' agency, Woollim Entertainment commented.

"Addiction" features a modern style R&B vibe. The single was produced by Lee Yoo Jin.

The pair is set to hold their debut showcase in Beijing later on in August.

TASTY is still relatively new to the K-pop scene, debuting in 2012 with their single "Spectrum."

Male twins Daeryong and Soryong had reportedly dreamed of being Korean idol members since the age of seven. Before they made their debut with their current agency, the boys were trainees under the Korean entertainment company JYP Entertainment.

After passing the audition process for JYP in 2006, the twins went to the States to train, learning choreography from dancers that worked with Beyonce and Ne-yo, according to the Korean publication My Daily.

After their debut, TASTY had stepped away from the K-pop scene for a year before making their comeback with "MAMAMA" in August 2013. Later on in the same year, the duo's agency released a teaser for "Day N Night," the group's first digital single.

Despite the five-year extensive training process with JYP Entertainment, TASTY made the decision to leave the company when they began to see fellow trainers debut before them, according to the Korean publication Newsen.

"We passed the audition [JYP] easily so we thought everything would be easy too. But later on when other friends [trainees] joined in and debuted before us, we felt disappointed," explained the duo.
