Girls' Day Volunteers In Thailand To Help Young Girls Through 'Plan Korea'

K-pop group Girl's Day will be heading to Thailand for volunteer work this month.

"Girl's Day will leave for Thailand for August 17 to 21 as ambassadors for the international child sponsorship organization 'Plan Korea.' They plan to participate in the girls' birth registration campaign as well as the campaign for human rights for girls," stated a representative from their agency, DreamT Entertainment, on August 14.

The four-member girl group volunteered in Thailand through the "Plan Korea" program as well. The idol members have been working to help young girls who have been through abuse and harsh living conditions.

Girl's Day will be visiting four girls who have been living in Thailand without birth registration and find a way to help them as well.

The idol group recently celebrated their fourth anniversary since debuting. The girls released a mini album just in time for summer, along with a hit track for the season.

"Girl's Day is planning to have a comeback with a special season song by the producing team Duble Sidekick. This album was specially planned for Girl's Day's fourth anniversary on July 9," stated an associate from their label, according to Allkpop.

The associate added, "The album will be a mini album. It's not only a fourth anniversary album, but also a summer special album, and it'll be a full of bright, lively music."

When the day came for Girl's Day to celebrate its fourth anniversary, the members made sure to thank fans for their ongoing support.

"Thank you for always giving us strength and being with us for the last four years. In the future, we will repay you for all the love we receive while promoting as Girl's Day for a long time. We dreamed of becoming singers and that dream has come true and every moment we are promoting vigorously as singers is like a miracle," wrote members Sojin, Yura, Minah and Hyeri on their Twitter account.
