Group JYJ Begins Official Asia Tour Starting With Concert In Hong Kong

Boy group JYJ has officially begun their tour in Asia.

The group wrapped up their concert in Seoul last week and will be heading to Hong Kong for their concert on August 16. The K-pop group's recent concert in Seoul gave music critics and fans a snippet of how explosive their upcoming performances are going to be.

"We could actually feel JYJ's humongous power when we saw the entire Seoul Olympic Stadium getting filled up with fans from all over the world. It is not easy to find artists who can fill up the entire stadium these days, and we were amazed by JYJ's huge power," a number of officials said, according to Yahoo Entertainment Singapore.

The group will continue on to major cities in Vietnam, Taiwan, Shanghai, Thailand and more, performing at a total of eight countries.

The trio's second album titled "Just Us" sold 120,000 copies only in pre-orders and topped many music sites soon after the album's release. The group's recent album topped iTunes charts in seven countries and ranked high on the Japan Oricon weekly chart as well.

JYJ was also spotted ranking high on various Korean music programs without any separate promotions.

The music video for their new title track "BACK SEAT" recently surpassed 6 million YouTube views. The number of views continues to rise rapidly.

JYJ was created after the three members split from their former group TVXQ. Despite the fact that the members decided to go their separate ways, JYJ member Yoochun revealed that he'd like for all five of them to grab a drink one day, according to Allkpop.

"I was happy [about my career after the split]. . . But as time went by, this thought came to mind. What was it all for? It was a decision made for our individual lives. I have no bad feelings now. I sincerely hope that all of us are happy," stated Yoochun during an interview with the media outlet eDaily StarIN.
