New couple alert! Rumors have surfaced that actress Jennifer Lawrence is dating Coldplay front man Chris Martin.

After Lawrence's split from long-time boyfriend Nicholas Hoult, could the "American Hustle" star be finding comfort in yet another British celebrity?

Independent.ie reports that Lawrence, 24, and Martin, 37, met at a party in July. The website alleges that Martin called Lawrence to check on her after the break-up with Hoult.

According to E! News, "multiple sources" have confirmed the budding relationship.

Lawrence, who dated British "X-Men: Days of Future Past" co-star Hoult on and off for years, has admitted that she has an affinity for the land across the pond.   

"I'm a big fan of all things British," Lawrence told The Sun in January. "I get to spend some time there now and again and I like that I can go for fish and chips wearing the most awful outfit and it's cool, you know?"

Could she be adding Martin to the list of English things she loves?

As for Martin, there has been wide speculation about his personal life as of late. The "Ghost Stories" crooner caused a stir when he and wife Gwyneth Paltrow announced that they were "consciously uncoupling" on Paltrow's lifestyle blog Goop.

According to E! News, a "source" claimed that Paltrow and Martin were keeping things "stable and consistent" for their two children.

"They spend a lot of time together as a family," said the source, "and haven't changed things since they announced they were splitting up. Other than taking off their wedding bands, they seem closer than ever."

Since the separation from his wife, Martin has been linked in the media to British TV personality Alexa Chung and music icon Rihanna.
