'Battle Of Myeongnyang' Hits North America Theaters

The movie, "Battle of Myeongnyang" will release in North America.

On August 15, "Battle of Myeongnyang" released in the United States to meet the Korean movie fans. The official day coincided with Korean Independence Day.

It is a minimal release in few selected theatres in hopes to meet all the fans in major regions.

In the trailer, actor Choi Min Sik takes the lead to battle with 12 ships. His role in the movies "Lucy" and "Old Boy" gives the audience a bit more familiarity with the piece.

The hit in Korea with over a million viewers is making people curious as to whether it will continue the same success overseas to the United States.

"Battle of Myeongnyang" is based in 1597 of a battle in the sea with the lead of general Lee Soon Shin. Actors Choi Min Sik, Ryu Seung Ryong, Jo Jin Woong, and Jin Goo, as well as actress Lee Jeong Hyun are the main casts.
