Group JYJ's Asia Tour Kicks Off With Successful Concert In Hong Kong

Idol group JYJ has officially launched their tour in Asia.

The trio performed at the Asia World Expo Arena in Hong Kong on August 16 for their "2014 JYJ Asian Tour - The Return Of The King," meeting with 10,000 fans in the process.

The members of the K-pop group performed a total of 20 songs, including musical numbers, songs from both drama and movie soundtracks as well as hits from their solo albums. It's been four years since the group performed for their fans in Hong Kong.

The long-awaited return of JYJ was met with a great number of local media outlets waiting to make reports on the arrival of the group.

"A great number of fans welcomed JYJ's arrival at the airport as well," a representative from their management agency C-JeS Entertainment stated, according to Star N News.

JYJ will be visiting a total of eight countries in the course of their Asia tour. They started their tour at the Jamsil Stadium in Seoul last week and will continue on to Beijing, Vietnam, Chengdu, Taiwan, Shanghai and Thailand, according to the publication Allkpop.

After the release of their second album "JUST US," JYJ has gotten even bigger as K-pop stars, topping iTunes charts in seven different countries. The trio will be releasing the third part of their DVD series "3hree Voices III" this month as well.

The project will be coming out with two DVDs and one poster. The pre-orders will begin on the August 18 and will officially be released on August 25.

Although JYJ is wildly successful, the trio went through quite a bit of hardship to get to where they are now. Yoochun, one of the essential members of JYJ, recently revealed that despite the dramatic split from his former group TVXQ, there are no hard feelings.

"I hope the five of us can do well in our position. I don't know when, but it would be cool if all of us could come together to drink soju," stated Yoochun, according to the media outlet AsianOne.
