Even Carrie Bradshaw can take a backseat to the bride. "Sex And The City" actress Sarah Jessica Parker served as a bridesmaid on Saturday at the wedding of her former assistant Melinda Relyea.

As the nuptials took place in Greenwich, Connecticut over the weekend, Parker couldn't help but to share the fun on Instagram.

"Perfect. The whole affair. #melindaandjamie forever," posted SJP on Saturday along with a photo of a lightly nibbled slice of wedding cake.

Parker spent the weekend sharing snaps and captions on the social media site as longtime friend Melinda tied the knot with Jamie Kearns.

According to Perezhilton.com, Relyea was Parker's assistant for years, working on films like "Failure to Launch" and "Did You Hear About The Morgans?"

The Daily Mail also reports that Relyea served as an associate producer on both of the "Sex And The City" films and has been the vice president of Parker's Pretty Matches production company for over twelve years.

An article by the Daily Mail reveals that the ceremony took place at First Presbyterian Church in Greenwich, with the reception being held at the Belle Haven Club.

SJP and her fellow bridesmaids wore floor-length fuchsia gowns and held bouquets of white flowers.

Parker posted pictures of her dress as she prepared for the big day, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the event on Instagram.

"It's wedding day for Melinda!" Parker writes alongside a photo of her gown hanging over her bed. "My bridesmaid dress, stretching, releasing wrinkles and then a quick disco nap before heading towards church and a very joyous day and night. X sj"

Parker didn't nap for long. At the church, the actress continued her Instagram parade, posting an image of the happy couple on the alter just after they said their "I do's." Parker writes,

"Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Mr and Mrs James Kearns! How completely gorgeous. #melindaandjamie."

The bride wore a white drop waist gown with what appears to be a dark floral print. 

Parker's husband Matthew Broderick got in on the fun too. The actor took on the role of usher at the wedding as friends and family gathered for the festivities.
