Celine Dion Concert Ticket Refunds Begin As Singer Puts Career on Hold To Take Care of Her Family

Celine Dion is taking an indefinite leave from all performances to take care of her family.

Celine Dion "decided to postpone all of her show business activities indefinitely" to focus on health issues that both she and her husband, René Angélil are facing.
Last month Dion canceled performances due to an inflammation of her throat muscles. In December, Angélil had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.

Dion released a statement on her website saying she is stepping back "in order to focus 100% of her attention" because it is a "difficult and stressful time for the couple as they deal with the day-to-day challenges of fighting this disease while trying to juggle a very active show business schedule, and raise their three young children."

"I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband's healing, and to do so, it's important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children. I also want to apologize to all my fans everywhere, for inconveniencing them, and I thank them so much for their love and support," Dion said.

Dion cancelled all upcoming shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas that were slated through March 22, 2015 as well as a tour of Asia that was scheduled for the fall.

Celine Dion concert ticket refunds began on Monday.

Celine Dion announced that she is postponing her tour to take care of her husband and their three children.

The Quebec superstar suspended all of her show business to focus on her family whil her husband Rene Angelil recovers from surgery he had last December to have a cancerous tumour removed.
