'The Jungle Book' Movie 2015 Battle: Disney And Warner Bros. Announce Adaptation Of Children's Book Classic; House Of Mouse To Star Bill Murray As Baloo

Both Disney and Warner Bros. are planning their own versions of The Jungle Book Movie on 2015 and 2016.

The battle between giant studios seemed to be getting fiercer as both also announced that they'll be having a live action adaptation to the classic fairytale Beauty and the Beast.

Disney on the other hand recently announced an all star cast team to lend their voices to the fictional jungle characters.

Bill Murray, who previously stated that he'll not be back for the third installment of Ghostbusters, is cas to voice Baloo.

He will be joined by equally highly acclaimed actors Ben Kingsley, Lupita Nyong'o, Idris Elba and Scarlett Johansson who'll be lending their voices to Bagheera, Raksha, Shere Khan and Kaa.

The voice of King Louie will be lent by the talented Christopher Walken in direction by Jon Favreau.

Disney aims to bring a family oriented film adaptation according to Screen Rant, most likely a remake for its original film which was released in 1967.

The House of Mouse's version of The Jungle Book movie is scheduled to hit theaters on October 9, 2015.

Warner Bros. on the other hand, is also gearing up for its own version titled "The Jungle Book: Origins."

Andy Serkis is tapped to helm Warner Bros. version, however, no casting details has been announced yet.

The version of WB is reportedly going to attempt to stick to the original story with darker details.

Both giant studios will be using Rudyard Kipling's short stories as source materials published in magazines on 1893 to 1894. However, Warner is limited to use characters or details from 1967 Disney film since, some of it did not appear on the book and were Disney originals.

Warner Bros' The Jungle Book movie is set for release on October 21, 2016 a year after Disney's planned release date.

This would serve as Andy Serkis' directorial debut following his highly successful movies "Lord of the Rings" - Gollum - and "Planet of the Apes" - Ceaser - as an actor.
