Farrah Abraham, who was one of the original stars of MTV's "Teen Mom,"  is putting her sex tape behind her. The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star got a new gig and it pays half a million bucks. But that's not why Farrah is doing it. Abraham is a stripper now, but she's doing it for research. Just like Jennifer Aniston.

E! News reported that Farrah Abraham, 23, got a job a few weeks ago as a cocktail waitress at Palazio Gentlemen's Club in Austin, Texas. She soon found out she was more popular at the pole than serving drinks. The reality TV star decided to mix the experience with her creative output.

Abraham told E! News "I'm doing research. A friend of mine works there and I'm researching. I've been trying out all the roles that make up a gentleman's club, including cocktailing and dancing. There's management and there's cooking too. It's job shadowing that I hope pays off."

"In the same way Jennifer Aniston researched her role as a stripper, that's what I'm doing," she told E! News. "It's how I get the information to write my books and do my movies."

That research is turning out to be very lucrative. RadarOnline.com reported that Abraham claimed she signed a $544,000 contract to dance in Palazio's Celebrity House Feature. Farrah's new gig is scheduled to open on Aug. 22. It will cost customers $2,500 for an hour or $500 for 10 minutes.

Abraham isn't the first C-list celebrity to hit the pole. In 2011, Danielle Staub peeled for customers at Scores Gentleman's Club in New York City. Last year "Octomom" Nadya Suleman was paid $20,000 to strip at West Palm Beach's T's Lounge.

So what is Farrah doing the research for, E! asked? "Unfortunately, I'm not free to talk about what those future projects may be," she said. "But I'm interested in hearing all the women's stories. And while I'm doing it I'm getting paid. I'm getting paid to play a role and get informed."

Farrah Abraham has been considering a movie adaption of "Celebrity Sex Tape." Farrah Abraham said she would love to see her erotic book "Celebrity Sex Tape in the Making" brought to the screen starring "Jessica Alba ... or like, who knows? Sandra Bullock is like really good, too. When you're an actress you can play any age."
