Japan Media Praises AOA's Perfomance At 'a-nation' Concert

Girl group AOA has reserved the love of Japanese fans even before their debut in the country.

The idol group attended the "A-nation-Asia Progress, Departure" concert in Tokyo on August 17, performing their three major hits, including "Mini Skirt," "Get Out" and "Short Hair" for the crowd.

"AOA took the stage in bright red mini skirts and melted the hearts of fans at the 'a-nation' concert," wrote a local Japanese media outlet.

Japanese media also noted that the group performed all three tracks in their girlish, yet sexy way, getting the support of fans from start to finish.

After their performance at one of the most popular summer music festivals in Japan, the group held a fan event at the Shibuya Tower Records in order to interact on a more intimate level with fans.

The seven-member girl group is expected to make another impressive appearance at the upcoming "Tokyo Runway 2014." The annual event attracts a lot of attention and coverage as 100 popular models and artists come together to walk the runway and perform on stage, according to Allkpop.

The show brings in about 15,000 people every year, which means that AOA will be able to further promote their upcoming October 1 debut in Japan.

AOA, which debuted in 2012, gained mainstream success within the Korean music industry with their hits "Elvis," "Get Out," "MOYA," "Shake," "Short Skirt" and "Bobbed Hair." The group will be working with Universal Music Japan for their upcoming debut.

AOA recently celebrated their second anniversary since debuting on August 9, according to publication Star N. The group uploaded a video on their official Facebook page of the members celebrating the milestone with a big cake while thanking fans for their ongoing support.

"We were able to make it all the way here because of your amazing love. We will do our best to keep making better music," stated the members.
