"NCIS" season 12 spoilers hint of a replacement for Ziva David in Tony DiNozzo's affections as a "flirtatious" FBI agent joins the cast. Meanwhile, Paula Perrette revealed risking herself after developing allergy to black dye.

According to the Entertainment Weekly's "NCIS" season 12 spoilers, Stephanie Jacobsen of "Melrose Place" is cast as FBI agent Leia Pendergast who works with Michael Weatherly's character over a terror threat against Navy researchers.

Pendergast is an ex-US Marshal who joins the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force as its leader. She is described as "feminine, sexy and single, cool and confident."

Earlier, Michael Auseillo revealed "NCIS" season 12 spoilers as he said that the new woman will enter DiNozzo's life through a case.

"As such his dynamic with her will be 'completely different' than what he shared with NCIS colleague Ziva David, show boss Gary Glasberg tells us," he said.

As Glasberg said, the difficult part of the whole process was to cast somebody that will spark chemistry with Michael Weatherly.

"But we're excited about the opportunity," Glasberg adds. "We'll give it a shot and see what we can do," the showrunner said.

Meanwhile, Pauley Perrette revealed to TVGuide a life-threatening allergy to hair dye as a result of playing her character.

"I have acquired an allergy to black hair dye, which is something that I wanted to tell people about. I tweeted about it, and then it was all over the news because people don't know about it and it can be fatal. It's very serious," she said.

But the naturally blonde actress is not about to let the "goth" look of Abby go so he and the producers are trying to figure out an organic way to apply black dye on her hair.

"I just don't think Abby should be blonde. Abby's like a cartoon character, she's never changed," she said.
