So Ji Sub visited Singapore for the first time after an overwhelming success of his recent drama, the highly acclaimed "Master's Sun." The open press conference at City Square Mall Atrium on August 21 drew a huge crowd of avid fans and supporters from places all over the world such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Indonesia.

Upon his arrival, Ji Sub was all smiles as he was welcomed with defending screams from his fans. Ji Sub started the press conference by greeting the crowd and thanked them gratefully for allowing the drama "Master's Sun" to be so well-received.

On the character he played in "Master's Sun", he shared it is a total opposite of who he is in real life, "I am quite reserved. I am not very talkative. I tried to keep all the things to myself."

As a professed longtime hip-hop lover, So Ji Sub has recently come back as a rapper with his new single album "18 Years". He showed interest in wanting to try a different genre but can only stay with the hip-hop genre as he revealed that he is a horrible singer. When being asked about collaboration, he answered humbly "In terms of music, I don't think I am fit to request for any collaboration as I'm still in the process of learning. However, for acting, I would love to meet the other international actors and actresses from all over the world. I like to experience new things in my career."

When asked to choose either a sexy girl or an obedient girl, Ji Sub cheekily confessed that he wants a girl who is obedient in the day and sexy in the night. He also mentioned about his ideal type of girl. "To me, the looks don't matter. What matter is she has to understanding when it comes to my work and be considerate. We must be able to click."

On a question "Do you think you are handsome" Ji Sub revealed that he prefers to be called sexy than handsome. He does not find himself handsome.

The open press conference wrapped up with So Ji Sub being prompted by the emcee to say a singlish (Singaporean English) phrase "I love you la".
