Iggy Azalea Collaborates With Steve Madden: ‘Fancy’ Rapper and MTV ‘House Of Style’ Host Brings ‘Bold And Sexy Style’ To Footwear Line, Joins Kendall And Kylie Jenner As Spokesmodel
Iggy Azalea has already proven she's "Fancy." Now the Australian rapper is proving that the term even applies to her footwear as she is reportedly signed on to release a new shoe line with Steve Madden.
The collaboration seems to be a natural fit for Azalea, who has recently made a name for herself as a style icon.
According to the New York Post, the footwear line will be released in February 2015 and is speculated to reflect Azalea's "bold and sexy style."
Perezhilton.com commented on the story, claiming that a spokesperson for Steve Madden stated:
"The idea for a collaboration came about a few months ago when Iggy performed in Brooklyn as part of our Madden Music series. She has an extremely gifted eye for fashion, and we're working on the collection now."
According to the New York Post, the footwear line will be released in February 2015.
Azalea is currently the host of MTV's "House of Style," a web series revival of the network's fashion-centered show.
"The show will connect viewers to designers, celebrity style setters, emerging trends, and more," announced MTV in July.
After revealing that the show's new host would be Azalea, MTV stated, "between ruling the charts and nabbing seven VMA nominations this summer, Iggy will be at the helm of House of Style, taking viewers from L.A.'s best vintage stores with Jeremy Scott to music video sets with Rita Ora."
Azalea recently sat down with Jennifer Lopez on the show to talk about JLo's style throughout the years and her favorite Versace outfits.
As for Steve Madden, Azalea joins Kendall and Kyle Jenner as spokesmodels for the company. The Jenner girls launched a new shoe line for Madden Girl in March.
"We were really involved," Kendall told E! News in March when asked about the collaboration. "I think we wanted to be really involved and literally sent inspiration to everyone at Steve Madden and they made it come to life. It was amazing. They're amazing to work with because they really did take our vision and put it on to paper and then eventually a product."
