KARA To Dominate Japan With ‘Mamma Mia’ Release

Girl group KARA is set to debut their newest single "Mamma Mia" in Japan on August 27.

The four-member idol group will head to Japan tomorrow to officially begin their promotions for their new album by making appearances on different variety programs, interviews and events, according to the Korean publication Osen.

KARA met with 250 fans recently and were seen eating food and interacting with those who were able to attend the fan meeting. Devoted fans of the idol group welcomed the comeback of KARA with a congratulatory song as well.

"This is the same park we made our debut with the track 'Rock You.' We're so happy to be able to meet with our fans here during the week of our release of 'Mamma Mia,'" stated KARA member Ku Hara.

The idol member continued, "You guys are truly giving us the strength to work harder. Thank you for standing by us this week. In the future, we'll make sure to provide better music and performances as KARA."

The girls will be returning to Korea from their Japanese promotions on August 28 for their performance on the popular music program Music Bank.

"Mamma Mia" is KARA's 11th single, released after a 10-month hiatus. The music video for the track was released last week as well.

The song was produced by duo Duble Sidekick, according to the Korea Herald. Their new album "Day & Night" was KARA's first release in eight months and includes six hit tracks.

KARA has gone through ups and downs since two of their members, Nicole and Jiyoung, left the group earlier this year.

"Our Kamilia is always getting hurt. I'm sorry. There are so many things I want to say, so many things I want to explain, and so many things I want to say to make you feel better, but it's hard to say through text. I'm sorry for giving pain to the ones I love," tweeted KARA's leader Gyuri before the group found their new member Heo Youngji, according to Allkpop.
