Liam Hemsworth dating news updates remain to be elusive as the "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" actor quietly bought the Malibu home formerly owned by songwriter Matthew Wilder. Now, it's also rumored that Miley Cyrus' ex-fiance is on the list of Taylor Swift's ideal men for Katie Holmes.

The new report by Variety magazine did not touch on who Liam Hemsworth is dating currently, but it did reveal details on the Australian's new Malibu estate.

Nestled on a 7.5-acre land, the house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms with a floor space of 1,980 square meters. It also features a brick fireplace, small lounge, sitting room and an "over-sized entrance gallery."

The magazine described the property as "A long, gated drive crosses a creek and gently winds its way deep in to the compound to the front of 1950s era ranch-style residence worked over in a modern-organic manner with polished concrete and reclaimed wood floors, entire walls of multi-paned windows and doors and new-fangled high-tech systems."

Although there's no news updates about Liam Hemsworth dating, Taylor Swift aims to change all that as she reportedly plays matchmaker to Katie Holmes.

"Taylor is obsessed with finding the perfect guy for Katie. She teases her about setting her up with a cute younger guy who will rock her world," a source told Star magazine.

Katie Holmes is already 35 compared to Liam Hemsworth who is nine years her junior, and Tom Cruise's ex-wife is not totally sold about dating a younger man. Allegedly, Taylor Swift has a list of possible dates for the former "Dawson's Creek" star, which also includes Robert Pattinson, Kellan Lutz and Kip Moore.

"But Taylor's totally pressuring her into it, telling her it's exactly what she needs right now. Taylor won't let it go. She's on a mission," the tabloid added.

However, the Liam Hemsworth dating Katie Holmes rumors were quickly doused when a rep told RumorFix that the report about her being on the lookout for a younger man is "100 percent false."
