Nu’est To Be The New K-Pop Stars In Japan?

Idol group Nu'est will be following in the footsteps of their fellow K-pop stars who have gone on to top various music charts in Japan.

The five-member boy group will be releasing their first Japanese debut single on November 5, according to the publication Osen.

"Nu'est performed for the first time in Japan at the Chiba Maihama Theater on August 25. They will be releasing their debut single titled 'Shalala Ring' in Japan this fall," stated the Japanese media outlet Sankei Sports.

The members reportedly dropped the news of their upcoming Japanese single at the end of their recent performance, where they sang and danced for approximately 2,000 fans.

"The track is about being protective over the one you love so they can continue to smile," explained member JR.

Nu'est will be performing at the "SOUND MARINA 14" festival, which will be held at the Hiroshima Green Arena. The amount of exposure the group is getting overseas is incredible, especially because the boy band only debuted two years ago under their current management agency, Pledis Entertainment.

Nu'est members JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun and Ren made a name for themselves in the Japanese music industry with the release of their compilation album "NU'EST BEST IN KOREA."

The album, which was released on July 30, debuted at No. 1on the Japan Tower Records Daily Charts for three consecutive days since being released to the public, according to the publication StarN News.

A giant poster of the members was seen hanging on every floor of the Tower Records Shibuya branch while approximately 1,000 fans reportedly participated in a special event to support Nu'est.

The boys of Nu'est have truly flourished as a group since they began performing for their fans in Japan.

"We're so happy we're able to connect with fans and share our thoughts through the Japanese lyrics," stated member Ren.
