Baek Ji Young ‘Won’t Disappoint’ Fans During U.S. Concerts

Actress and singer Baek Ji Young is set for another milestone in her career.

Baek, who has been dubbed the "queen of soundtracks" due to her musical contributions to various Korean dramas, will be the first Korean musician to perform at the New York City's Avery Fisher Hall, according to the Korean publication Osen.

The "Don't Forget Me" singer will be holding her "Sentimental Memories" solo concert at venues in both L.A. and New York on August 28 and August 30. She is set to perform at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

Baek Ji Young reportedly had to go through an extensive qualification process in order to be able to use the famous NYC concert hall as one of her venues.

"All I have left is presenting fans with a great show. Ill do the best that I can so I don't disappoint the devoted, local fans that come to see me," stated Baek through her management agency.

Baek Ji Young is set to perform her previous hits including "That Woman," "Candy To My Ear," "Good Boy" and more.

When Baek returns to Korea, the artist will be holding a solo concert titled "2014 Baek Ji Young Show - That Girl" on September 20. Locations have been set in Seoul, Busan, Daejon and Cheonan.

Following the announcement of her upcoming venture into the U.S., the now-married artist released a compilation album titled "O.S.T Best Limited Package" on August 25, according to the publication Allkpop. The album includes tracks including "Flash Back," "Love and Love," "Fervor," "Crying" and "Spring Rain."

Baek Ji Young tied the knot with her husband, Jung Suk Won, who is nine years her junior, in 2013.

The 38-year-old has been very open about the ups and downs of married life, according to the publication Star N News.

"There are many good things about getting married. Before getting married, I felt a lot of pressure about continuing my career. However, I can get much more relaxed now, and it feels great to have someone to lean on," stated Baek Ji Young during a recent appearance on the music program Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchook.
