Scandal Season 4 Spoilers: Rowan Pope Actor Joe Morton Hints At Olivia’s Return To DC?

According to new "Scandal" season 4 spoilers, Joe Morton, who plays Rowan Pope on the ABC series, hinted that his character's daughter Olivia Pope may return to DC sooner than we think! Read on to find out more "Scandal" season 4 spoilers.

E! News reports that Rowan Pope got "everything he wanted" in the "Scandal" season 3 finale when Olivia Pope got on a plane with Jake and left DC, meaning he's "back as the B613 boss."

But when asked how he'll deal with his new success, Rowan Pope actor Joe Morton hinted that it won't be long before Olivia returns and throws off his plans!

"I think if Olivia returns, he's going to be kind of concerned about that, wondering why she's back and what for and how that's going to work out. I also think what's going to happen is people are going to find out what I did and sparks are going to fly," Morton said.

Spoiler alert! As Gladiators will remember, Rowan "ruthlessly assassinated the president's son" in "Scandal" season 3 - a secret he will likely try to keep under wraps at all costs.

As we previously reported (and unlike Kerry Washington's character, Olivia), Columbus Short, who plays Harrison Wright, won't return for season 4. Short received a restraining order from his wife after he allegedly put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her, TMZ reports.

"At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I've called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today," Short, 31, said in a statement, Us Weekly reports.

"I would like to first thank [creator] Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast. Thank you GLADIATORS, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful."

In late March, the Harrison Wright actor was arrested on a felony battery charge after a restaurant brawl. The charge could result in up to four years in prison if convicted, Us Weekly reports. On Valentine's Day, Short was charged with misdemeanor spousal battery and ordered to stay away from wife Tuere Short. They are currently in the middle of a heated divorce. According to TMZ, Short's wife just got a restraining order against him after he allegedly put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her. He's also been charged in connection with another incident with domestic violence and child abuse.

With all of these legal battles heading his way, it's no wonder Short decided to leave "Scandal" season 4.
