Pretty Little Liars Star Janel Parrish On Season 5 Death And Joining Dancing With The Stars Season 19 Cast: '[Mona] Went Out With A Fight'

"Pretty Little Liars" fans may not have recovered from the traumatic season 5 summer finale, but actress Janel Parrish is moving on to new gigs like "Dancing With the Stars."

"It's a really sad ending, but you know what? She went out with a fight, so I'm proud of her," said Janel Parrish to E! Online following the "Pretty Little Liars" season 5 summer finale. "I found out the day before the table read, so Marlene [King] gave me a call and said, 'Hey, you're about to get the script, you're gonna see it, I just want you to know this is happening, but don't worry, you still have a job in flashbacks, now.'"

"So it's sad, but I'm also excited that I'm still going to be on the show, and I think it's gonna be great to show more backstory as far as Mona's concerned. So I think it's actually going to be really, really fun. I think a lot of people were sad, a lot of people were like, "No, we love Mona!" But again, I'm not going anywhere, so it's not too sad. It's just gonna be different, which I'm totally down for."

Not only is Janel Parrish staying on for "Pretty Little Liars" once it returns for the remainder of season 5, but the actress will also be starring on "Dancing With the Stars" season 19.

E! Online reports that Parrish will be the second "Pretty Little Liars" cast member to join "Dancing With the Stars," after Brant Daugherty.

Joining Parrish will be Olympic hurdler and bobsledder Lolo Jones and Antonio Sabato Jr. of "General Hospital."
