Hallyu Entertainment Ushers In New Era Of Fan Community In Texas, Plans First K-Pop Club Event

As the Korean Wave rises in Texas with artists making various appearances, such as VIXX, Crying Nut, Jay Park and 4Minute's HyunA, a new venture has emerged to unite the community. Hallyu Entertainment, established in Houston, TX has hosted three unique events and is creating a positive reputation for itself.

The company's website states that it is an effort by "the biggest Korean music community leaders from various established companies and organizations in Texas to bring events that will bring different people together through their love of K-Pop." The website references Houston K-Pop Entertainment and Demographics Entertainment (Austin, TX) as companies and organizations that its Directors were drawn from.

The brand's most popular event, K-Pop Roller Skate Night, has consistently had 100 attendees of all ages since it began in June 2014. Many attendees use the hashtag #rollthehallyu to tag photos on social media and promote the event. Aside from the excitement of meeting other K-Pop fans, Hallyu Entertainment creates a playlist from ticketholder's suggestions on their Facebook event page. The requested songs are not only heard but seen, as the company uses a projector system to play the music videos of attendee's favorite idol groups. For those not interested in roller skating, they have the freedom to dance the popular choreography from the videos with other fans.

Hallyu Entertainment is also unique in the fact that they consistently have established and rising YouTube stars at their events. Skate night special guests have included freshlyFLIPPED, CheyenneKpop, Multifacetedacg and The Lovely Ify. Also, various vendors in the K-Pop and J-Pop genre support the company's events, including annamtik, Cosplay N Charm, and Handmade Kpop Goods. The supportive environment for Asian entertainment contributes to the 360-degree experience for Hallyu Entertainment event attendees.

The company is heavily promoting KPOP All Night [Houston], its first 18 and up club event, scheduled for Thursday, September 18, 2014. The event is a joint effort with popular Houston hangout F-Bar and is sponsored by annamtik. The cover at the door for this event is only $10.00 for 18 and up, and $5.00 for 21 and up.
